Subject: RE: CUCM for windows?? Replied by: David Staudt on 22-12-2009 04:51:26 PM CUCM through version 4.x ran on a specially prepared Windows OS. CUCM 5 and higher migrated to an 'appliance' model, running on Linux, with restricted access to the OS itself. If you have the CUCM 7 installation media, probably the best way to work with it is via VMWare - the installer should work fine, and CUCM run well inside VMWare. Note, the VM needs to provide adequate disk/memory resources for the installer to complete.
