Created by: James Heffernan on 23-07-2009 12:16:41 AM Hi, I am having issues with my CVP 7 installation. I can deploy apps locally using the sab utility, then run deployapp from the relevant admin paths for each app. Sometimes I can ring the application and all is fine, I have the debugLog setup for each application and can see the appropriate VoiceXML generations etc. However the VXML Service on the box keeps terminating "by itself", so I will for example type "status" under either the admin path for an app or the \cisco\cvp\vxmlserver\admin path and I'll get the "there has been an error" response. The Event Viewer on the server simply states the VXML Server service has terminated unexpectedly and this has happened nn times. I have looked at all the log paths I know of (..\Tomcat\logs, \Cisco\CVP\logs, \Cisco\CVP\VXMLServer\logs, and the app log paths themselves) but nowhere am I able to get a clue as to what is the underlying cause of this problem. Does anyone have any idea on how I can turn up the tracing/logging on the server to find out what is going on? Thanks James

I'll let things go through the standard process and try to be patient Thanks again James

Subject: RE: CVP 7 VXML Service Replied by: James Heffernan on 21-08-2009 12:41:33 AM Hi, sorry for the delay, I've only just seen the responses. The solution so far has been the upgrade of the platform, as we had been running 3.1 and upgraded to 7. The specs between the two differ. I say so far because we have other issues, unrelated, meaning I can't use that platform in anger at the moment. James

The VXML server is running for some time (mostly for 5-10 minutes) and then it teminates and no relavent logs found. Did anyone find a solution after raising a TAC for this? I tried re installing the VXML server component but of no use. -Ram
