Also is any way for the standard database element to capture an connection error except by configuring a CVP Sub Dialog return and setting it as an error element? i.e. to do either of above properly you need to develop a custom database element? Also you can set timeout in the Tomcat config file which is the timeout for DB connection. However that is only for the time it takes to connect to DB. If you want timeout for your particular query, it is best to have your own custom code. Hemal
