Hello,
Wondering if someone can help me on some clients needs. They have C40 systems and are looking for a MIB for the Cisco C40 to be able to monitor the endpoint through SNMP. They have it currently monitored through SNMP but need the MIB to define what is able to be monitored and what it is for their monitoring software.
Also - pc input keeps getting timed out when not in a call when they are doing training. They do not want to disable standby mode and need a solution. Thanks and they are at latest software rev - TC4.2.1

Hi Peter,
the C-series only implements the most basic parts of SNMP for device detection. All other monitoring of activity and status is done via the XML api over HTTP/SSH/Telnet.
The codec should not enter standby when a presentation is active. Is the codec controlled by a control system? If so is the presentation being activated using the xCommand Presentation Start command or is video output programmed using TC Console application or xCommand Video Layout commands?
If xCommand Presentation Start and xCommand Presentation Stop commands are used then the codec should not enter standby while presentation is active.
Cheers,
David

Thanks Dave - they are just selecting the pc input from the remote control button when not in a call. After a time period, it will go into standby mode. They are execs that are not savvy and not sure I can get any one of them to keep doing command line code when they want to do it. No control system.

Pete,
that's strange. Just pressing the PC input using the remote control should be enough and should disable the standby function. I'll have someone look into this!
Cheers,
David
