Created by: Ken Snyder on 16-08-2012 09:29:23 PM By far the biggest user complaint is the lack of multiple file upload support. We were hoping to see file upload enhancements in WebEx Social 3.0 but its still limited to single file uploads. Is multiple file uploads on the roadmap? Is there an applet available to provide multiple file uploads?

Are you looking out for multiple file uploads to a post? If yes, then this feature is already there. So please clarify this.
Regards, Ratnadeep.

Subject: RE: Multiple File Uploads Replied by: alasdair ford on 09-10-2012 04:43:03 AM we're also looking for this capability it's vital when trying to migrate customer folders on a file server into WXS into a customer community. Also useful woudl be a mechanism to move documents that have been uploaded to the wrong folder that doesn't involve deleting the document and uploading it again.
Subject: RE: Multiple File Uploads Replied by: Ratnadeep Ray on 10-10-2012 01:12:59 AM Hi Alasdair, If you want to move a document from one folder to another, then please follow the below steps:- 1) Go to the folder where the document is originally present. 2) Click on the down arrow in the Action button. 3) Click on the Edit File link. 4) Now you will see the Option "Upload to". From there you choose the correct folder location and click "Upload" button. The above steps will move the file to the correct location. Hope this helps. Regards, Ratnadeep.

Hi Ken, Do you mean to say you are looking to upload multiple files to the Document tab or multiple files to the same post? FYI, currently we can upload multiple files to a post. However I am not sure if we can do so to the Document tab. Regards, Ratndeep.
Subject: RE: Multiple File Uploads Replied by: duncan westlake on 10-10-2012 07:57:53 AM Hi Ratnadeep, All of our users and prospective customers request to same - multiple file uploads. They want multiple file uploads to the library or to posts etc. By multiple file uploads they mean select 2 or more files at once and they upload together. Rather than having to upload each file one at a time. If a users had 50 files to upload, uploading one at a time is very time consuming. Thanks, Duncan
Subject: RE: Multiple File Uploads Replied by: Ratnadeep Ray on 11-10-2012 01:08:16 AM Hi Duncan, Thanks for clarifying the matter. This is an enhancement. For that I have raised the following enhancement request "CSCuc62019". Let's see when it gets addressed. Hope this helps. Regards, Ratnadeep.

hi Ratnadeep - I'm afraid that doesn't work - when I click on edit file I can change the folder however it won't activate the upload button until I choose a file - when I click on choose file it takes me to the last folder I interacted with on my local machine not the library within the community

Hi Alasdair, By design, the "Upload" button is always enabled while editing the file. Can you please check once more? See the attached screenshot. There you can see all the folders are appearing. Let me know whether you can change the file location or not? Regards, Ratnadeep.

As I said it won't activate the upload button until I choose a file, I thought it could be a another issue with variable capability dependnet on the location of the documnet however the issue is identical in my library and an open community library I guess this is a bug then ?

Subject: RE: Multiple File Uploads Replied by: alasdair ford on 16-10-2012 10:16:31 AM no upload is enabled - this is repilicated both in the user library and an open community
Subject: RE: Multiple File Uploads Replied by: Ratnadeep Ray on 18-10-2012 01:45:07 AM Hi Alasdair, It is strange to see this behavior in your case. What is the exact build number you are using? Can you please try clearing the browser cache and see if it helps or not? Regards, Ratnadeep.
