Created by: Niklas Andersson on 27-10-2009 12:23:01 PM Hi! 1. Is it possible to use a path for changing videosource in a frame (for ex localinput). Its a lot of traffic to change 5frames in 4way call =20 frames to update and this takes a while. So insted of sending the whole uddate frame string with x,y,width, height i would like to send only the videosource and videoid is it possible?
2. If i would to make my layouts with a script at startup how would i declare the callid for remotemain input source? i dont know the callid at startup or is the c90 that smart that it will assign a callid to one window for first call and another window for ex call2 when tha calls are made?? Thanks Niklas

Good news! In TC 2.1 this is now possible. You now only have to send the updated values to the xCommand Video Layout Frame Update command 🙂 TC2.1 is soon to be released. With it a new Crestron module with video layout demos will be released too.
In addition we have added some new commands to assign layouts to local outputs, remote calls, presentation etc so there is no more need to send dummy callIds when assigning to local layouts etc.

Hm, for this you do need a control system to dynamically assign the calls to the different frames (the examples that will be provided in the next crestron module release will include examples of how this can be done). Your suggestion being able to define a rule for a frame that it should display e.g. "call1" is a good idea. I'll bring it forward to our developers.
