Does anyone know how much power the TVS actually draws?  I know what type of power supply comes with the TVS, but that doesn't mean the TVS draws the max amount of power from that power supply.

Thanks,
Justin

Justin,
trying to find this one out for you. In the mean time, I'm curious as to why you need this info? 🙂

Cheers,
David

Thanks David!

Here is a direct quote from our dealer on why they need the information:

The equipment will be going in a server room with limited power and cooling, so we need the information to be sure we are not overloading the circuits and that we get the proper amount of cooling.

Thanks,
Justin

Justin,

the answer I have is that the Video Switch itself pulls about 7.4W, 0.6 amps. max. In addition the power supply will typically pull about 10W.
For a server room I´d guess that the power consumption from the TVS is close to negligible.

Cheers,
David

David,

Thank you so much for the information.  It turns out the dealer is installing a codec farm in a server room and there could be upwards of a dozen TVS'es, so thats why he needed to know.
