Hi guys,

I am trying to develop an EM proxy service because our database userid is email and I need this service to allow the user to use the extension as username instead.

I think we can create an IPPS and ask the user to provide the username (Extension) and the PIN but the problem we have come across is:

1) How do we authenticate the user using the PIN with the CCM Enduser PIN? I cannot find any method or API that would allow us to do this? The EMService API login request does not use PIN to authenticate:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/devguide/9_0_1/em.html#wp1053200

2) How do we map the CCM Enduser Primary Extension with the userid? I cant find any reference to the Primary Extension in the ccm databse dictionary - unless ive missed it!!

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Kamran

Actually, ive found the answer to question 1 - its DoAuthenticateUser.

Still would really appreciate if someone could tell me how to retreive userid based on user provided "Primary Extension"

Thanks!

There is already a application available which overcomes the problem for users to login with their long usernames or e-mail adres as the useraccount.
it is fully compatible with cucm 9, windows 8 and AD.

please check out ALM @ rsconnect.net

if you require more information please pm me.
