Created by: Daniel Scherrer on 21-01-2010 09:44:04 AM Hi guys I am searching a method, who can show me, which users are busy on the phone (call on..). I have found nothing about this on the wiki-pages, developer-guides or the "Data Dictionary". Where can i find more about this? I would tho develop a Desktop-Tool, who i can see my "Shortcuted-Users" with the status "busy" or "free", same as the Default-Display on my Cisco 7960 IP Phone. Thanks a lot! Dani

Thanks a lot for your answer Dan!
That's the only way to identifier line states? I would'nt buy a CUP-Server :-(
Subject: RE: Searching a Method Replied by: Dan-Anders Hook on 21-01-2010 01:06:50 PM Yes. I know third-party systems that subscribes to presence via a SIP Trunk on the CUCM (without a CUP), although I've also heard that Cisco is not so keen on that because it (from what i've heard) has limited scalability. Other than that you´d have to use CTI. Kind regards, //Dan
Subject: RE: Searching a Method Replied by: David Staudt on 21-01-2010 02:24:28 PM The CTI APIs are probably what you want to look at: TAPI (C/Windows) and JTAPI (Java/multi-platform.) UCM also supports monitoring lines via SIP/SIMPLE as well.
