I have a question about how CUCM SIP-trunk works with SRV records as destinations. Is it possible to get get forking INIVITEs by setting up equal DNS entries (prio and weight) in the SRV-record? What (SIP) timers can be adjusted to speed up a "failover" to a lower prio destionation i the higer prio destionation host is down?

no, equal weight in SRV only make AA records have nearly the same chance to be selected. CUCM siptrunk doesn't do fork. You can reduce the service parameter "Retry Count for SIP Invite" to make failover faster. After 8.5 you can use "SIP OPTIONS Ping" feature to skip over unavailable peer.

Hi Giggesh,
we have the same issue with the fail over configuration. In our case the fail over will happen only after 1 minute. We are using UDP for SIP trunk outgoing traffic. Shall we reduce the Retry count for SIP INVITE for making the failover very fast?
Thanks and Regards
