Is LLDP-MED-MIB supported only on certain Cisco devices ( e.g. Stackwise) ?
I am using SNMP for discovery and monitoring. When coming to Model, serial number and manufacturer, apparently I can use the tables in more general ENTITY:MIBS , or the table in ( less general) LLDP-MED-MIB.
Thanks in advance. Benjamin Kao
Subject: RE: SNMP LLDP-MED-MIB stackwise Replied by: David Staudt on 10-10-2013 12:03:28 PM Unfortunately this forum is intended for discussion re the UCM AXL API. Not knowing a great deal about SNMP (especially across the wider Cisco portfolio) I do understand that LLDP/MED is not yet universally supported, and that CDP is often the only mechanism especially for older devices. You may be able to find more details at the MIB Locator page here: http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/MIBS/servlet/index
