Hi all,
I have been working on a customer request for a few days (more like a week) and I believe I am in a dead-end. Any help or comments would really be appreciated.
The setup I work on is based on 3 new C60 units, one with multisite license and one old 6000MXP.
4 different rooms (IST-1, IST-2, SP and ANK) are installed and working all fine (IST-2 is the old 6000MXP). All locations have 2 displays (either 2x65" lcd or 2xbacklit-projectors). ANK office has the multisite license and all conferences are started from there.
Now the customer asks to implement some changes in how they see the video during the conference. Basically, they want to be able to see remote sites on separate displays, in full screen. (For ex, the people in IST office should see ANK in 1st display and SP in 2nd, both fullscreen, when there's no content running. Or, in a 1+3 multisite call, they want to see the ACTIVE SPEAKER fullscreen in 1st display and the other 2 in the 2nd, equally divided.)
To do that, I've setup some layouts that utilize the content channel even when there's no active content-sharing, using that flow as a 2nd video channel. After synchronizing my changes (and rebooting the codec), we still cannot see the layout as we designed, either with or without presentation enabled.
The C60 devices are running 4.0.4 right now, and I am planning to upgrade them to 4.1.2 ASAP. But, aside from that, does anyone have an idea what might be the case?
Another thing that is really not clear for me, is the use of Own-Main and Other-Main when there is "Active Speaker" in a layout... Is the codec clever enough to:
1) Assume Active Speaker frame as one of the "Other-Main" frames? Or do I need all the participants' frames setup (like 3 "other main" frames for a 1+3 multisite call, AND an Active-Speaker frame)?
2) Evaluate the layout for each multisite remote site individually? I mean, with the Tandberg Video Compositor (demo) app, I can set different contents for each of the 3 remote sites connected. Does the TC Console layouts also apply like that? Or are they static (So that no matter from which remote site you're watching, you see the same image and same video channels in same frames)?
I'd love to hear your thoughts and recommendations, I had very little information and no experience with image compositing till this day.
PS: I'm sharing the layout I had been working on (for the multisite c60) below. I can share all sites' configs if required.
Regards,
Emre

I am having the same issue. Has there been an answer to this?
