The Edge series when used with the PrecisionHD camera has specific and unique cable requirements. It is not recommended to extend these or build your own as wiring is non-standard so as to carry power, control and digital video signals on the one cable, which I believe were available up to 3 or 4 meters. However, to address longer requirements, Tandberg/Cisco did produce an extension cable for these cameras:
CAB-PHD-EXTR=. It requires use of a separate 12v camera power supply i.e PSU-CAM-V=. Up to three of these extension/repeater cables can be connected for a total length of 20 meters. Not sure if you can order these anymore.
