Core Issue

When attempts are made to stop the call forward on a phone, a database error appears on the phone. A fast busy also sounds at the same time.

When attempts are made to change the setting from the Cisco CallManager, this error message appears:

Error No. -2147219942 (0x8004061a):CDBLException Dump: [Unknown SQL driver error. Please send message to Cisco developer for Telephony Database Layer]

Resolution

Check the disk space and try to remove the unnecessary files in order to free some space on the disk.

In order to clean the disk space, check these directories:

  • C:\Program Files\Cisco\CallDetail and all the sub folders

  • C:\Program Files\Cisco\Trace

  • C:\PerfLogs

  • C:\WINNT\system32\config

Note: This is the event log location. If they are too big, clear them through the event viewer.

  • C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL\Data

Move or remove any of the unused Cisco upgrade executable files, Engineering Specials, or Service Releases and upgrades.

Caution: Even if the Call Detail Record (CDR) is stopped, do not delete the database. The Cisco CallManager never starts without the database.
