Question to the group: What are the benefits for configuration the integration between APIC-EM And PI? We currently use PI only for wireless support. We are building an APIC-EM environment to deploy IWAN.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jason

I have a few questions too.
Will it be a greenfield IWAN deployment?
Will you need extensive changes made post deployment?
Integrating PI gives you extended template ability. It also causes headaches so if your PI is running smooth, I'd try to do everything in APIC-EM.

At this point, we are planning on it to be a complete greenfield deployment. ISR4000 series routers at the branches and ASR1001-X routers at the hubs. The underlays will consist of 2 Internet SPs at each branch, and a limited number of branches with an MPLS SP. Our goal is to phase out the MPLS SP over the course of time.
It's hard to predict any post deployment changes, but suspect there will be some.

I'd test using it stand alone first.

Thanks!
We'll give it a go without the integration at this point.

Remember, with IWAN devices, APIC-EM supports "descriptive" config templates too.
Day-n you can define a template to apply to a set of devices (with a roll-back).
This is only for IWAN devices.
