We are proud to announce the release of the latest version of the Cisco VNF MANO solution, including Cisco NSO Network Function Virtualization Orchestrator (NFVO) 4.2 and Cisco Elastic Services Controller (ESC) 5.1. These are used in many of our NSO customers' networks, and have been demonstrated as interoperable with more than 50 VNF types from more than 20 vendors.

These latest versions introduce the following new features:
* Support for VMware vCenter
* NSD editor. Create or edit a network service descriptor (NSD) compliant with the ETSI SOL006 standard
* Kubernetes CNF orchestration POC. Lifecycle management of Kubernetes as a VM on Openstack, and lifecycle management of CNF.
* ETSI SOL002 interface between VNF EM and ESC
* High availability features, including active-active, where three instances of ESC share the load and recover gracefully in the event of an instance failing. Also support for a second, geographically separated active-active cluster.
* Distributed monitoring, to enable centralized ESC instances or clusters to manage VNFs in remote locations in a reliable and scaleable fashion
* Multiple VIM types managed by a single ESC instance or cluster.

Cheers,

KJ.
