Granular Role-Based Access Control Implementation

Abstract: Cisco Crosswork Network Controller (CNC) 6.0 now offers enhanced security with role-based access control (RBAC) at a device level for both provisioning and device configuration workflows. While all CNC users can view the network topology, device-level RBAC allows specific teams to modify different sets of devices, catering to customer needs. This control extends to various tasks within certain applications. The device-level granular RBAC integrates effortlessly across CNC applications and the southbound-integrated NSO. This session explores Crosswork's RBAC and its alignment with NSO NACM rules to provide detailed role-based access control for write operations via NSO.
