Problem Description: A 2248TP-E FEX does not come online when connected to Nexus 7000 running 6.0x code. The state of the FEX will show as 'image download'. Below is an example from a N7K running 6.0(3).

N7K# sh fex detail

FEX: 101 Description: FEX0101   state: Image Download

  FEX version: 5.1(3)N1(1) [Switch version: 6.0(3)]

  FEX Interim version: 5.1(3)N1(0.302)

  Switch Interim version: 6.0(3)

Resolution:

Connecting a 2248TP-E FEX is not supported on a Nexus 7000 until NX-OS 6.1(1). The fix for this issue is to upgrade to NX-OS 6.1(1). After doing so, the FEXs will come online.
