Migration strategy dc N7K to N9K

Hi all

This my environment:

dc1: N7K1-2(VPC+peer gw) ------ VPLS (l2 stretching) + MPLS vpn --------dc2: N9K1-2 (VPC+peer gw)

  hsrp primary ---------------------------------------------------------------------hsrp secondary

We will migrate from the old dc to a new dc with hsrp active passive and we will avoid black hole with the secondary hsrp nodes.

Can this be achieved? who recommends me some migration strategy

Hi @Augustgood

Having a HSRP Active node in DC1 and a HSRP standby node in DC2 will never work because of vPC: in a nutshell, having HSRP Active + Listen in a vpc domain is not supported and will blackhole traffic on the HSRP Listen node.

I would recommend adding HSRP isolation between VPC domains and having the VIP active in each DC.

Stay safe,
