Hi

I have Cisco Switch Nexus N7K-C7010 in this switch i have install 2 module

1 PID N7K-M148GT-11 ( support in nexus )

2 PID N7K-F248XP-25E ( not support )

3 Running IOS Version Cisco ( bootflash:/n7000-s1-kickstart.6.1.1.bin and bootflash:/n7000-s1-dk9.6.1.1.bin

Hello!

The N7K-F248XP-25E module is supported starting with NX-OS software release 6.1(2). This Nexus 7010 switch is currently running NX-OS software release 6.1(1). In order to bring these N7K-F248XP-25E modules online, you will need to upgrade the NX-OS software of the switch to NX-OS software release 6.1(2) or higher.

This iOS version needs in 7000 chassis with 4 module support ( 6.1.2 or latter)

My cases I have 7000 chassis with 10 module support and for this iOS version Cisco NX-OS Software Release 4.0 or later.

Why I am installation 6.1.2 or latter

Hello!

The "Software Compatibility" section of the Nexus 7000 Series Switches Data Sheet you're linking references the minimum NX-OS software that needs to run on a supervisor engine (N7K-SUP1, N7K-SUP2, N7K-SUP2E) in order for the supervisor engine to properly boot up and execute when inserted in the relevant chassis. For example, if I had an N7K-SUP1 supervisor inserted in a Nexus 7010 running NX-OS 4.0, I could not remove that supervisor engine and insert it into a Nexus 7009 or 7004 and expect the supervisor to boot up properly, since the Nexus 7009 chassis is supported starting with NX-OS 5.2 and the Nexus 7004 chassis is supported starting with NX-OS 6.1(2). An upgrade of the NX-OS software running on that supervisor engine would be needed prior to me inserting it into either the Nexus 7009 or 7004 chassis models.

The "Product Compatibility" section of that same data sheet simply indicates the line cards that are physically compatible with the chassis. Each line card does have its own specific minimum NX-OS software needed for the line card itself to boot up, which are detailed in the individual line card's data sheet. This is why I referenced Table 3 of the Cisco Nexus 7000 F2-Series Enhanced 48-Port Fiber 1 and 10 Gigabit Ethernet Module Data Sheet document, which indicates that the minimum NX-OS software release needed for the N7K-F248XP-25E line card is NX-OS 6.1(2).

In the case i have one sup( supervisor engine (N7K-SUP1 ) engine and running with 6.1.1 IOS image and as i told you before 2 module insert one is M series and its support but second is F series module and its not support.
