Nexus N9K-C93180YC-FX Supported Features?

Hi All,

I am finding it difficult to find exact features & technologies supported by Nexus N9K-C93180YC-FX as "Cisco Feature Navigator" doesn't have information on data center switches.

We are looking to replace some Cat 6K distribution switches running LDP, MPLS VPN, OSPF, BGP, QoS among key features. Will Nexus N9K-C93180YC-FX support these under any license  (essential/advantage)?

I looked at NX-OS licensing link for guidance

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/nx-os/licensing/guide/b_Cisco_NX-OS_Licensing_Guide/b_Cisco_NX-OS_Licensing_Guide_chapter_01.html

But the feature list mentioned here is for entire series (Nexus 9000 for example) not platform specific.

Will appreciate some pointers or confirmation especially on the features I mentioned above.

Thanks

Hi Vishal,

The Nexus 93180YC-FX does support OSPF, BGP, and QoS features. It also supports MPLS VPNs with static labels. However, it does not support the LDP protocol commonly used in MPLS deployments. The exception to this rule is Nexus 9500 chassis with line cards and fabric modules that end in "-R", which utilize Broadcom Jericho+ ASICs and do support MPLS VPNs with LDP. However, all other Nexus 9000 series switches with Cisco Cloud Scale ASICs do not support LDP - only static label allocation is supported.

I recommend reviewing the Cisco Nexus 9000 Series NX-OS Label Switching Configuration Guide, Release 9.3(x) for more information on MPLS support on this platform.

I hope this helps - thank you!
