Show interface status - unknown e

Hello,

I connected a Cisco SFP GLC-T in a Cisco Nexus 5672UP Ethernet1/2 port. To test it, I connected a computer in that port and, after configuring the speed, it showed me the following in the show interface status command:

Port Name Status Vlan Duplex Speed Type
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Eth1/1 -- notconnec trunk full 1000 SFP-1000BAS
Eth1/2 -- unknown e trunk full 1000 SFP-1000BAS

Could someone tell me what's the problem here?

Hi @Franco R 

Can you share the following outputs:

show module 
show interface e1/2
show run int e1/2
show interface brief
show logging log | include net1/2

Note: for confidentiality reasons, make sure you delete the serial numbers from "show module".

Hello,

Thank you for your help. I discovered on my own the problem: The interfaces were connected by a port-channel in LACP mode. So, when I connected the PC, that error happened.

When I took the interface out of the port-channel, it worked. The interface must have been waiting for another device which speaks LACP.
