Accessed the AppDynamics Lab this week, it appears to have been updated since last week (based on a new version of the Javaagent being downloaded and the error below.
Error:
When initially accessing the dashboard after installing the javaagent, a single app should be present - Supercar-Trader - which worked last week.
This week (today) accessing the lab provides two apps - Supercar-Trader and 'MyApp'. The demo app components are divided between the two applications, with the Web-Tier in the Supercar-Trader and all other tiers in the 'MyApp'. The Web-Tier is defined as part of the Super-Car app by the user in the lab and works correctly.
The other tiers of the application should be assigned to the Supercar-Trader app with JVM command line parameters, which are not present, resulting in being assigned to a generic 'MyApp'. The JVM startup parameters cannot be modified by the user and should be pre-configured. Assuming they were left out when the latest upgrade occurred.
The attached file has information on how the additional tiers are assigned to the Supercar-App taken from the AppD Learning Lab. Screenshots are included to show the applicationName parameter is not present in the JVM startup parameters.
HELP! This issue breaks the ability to view transactions for the app in a comprehensive list.
