The always-on lab is always on and available without having to use a VPN. It differs from the other Catalyst Center lab in that it is not a reservable/bookable resource. Connection info is listed under "instructions" and you can use it's API like you would any other DNA center/Catalyst Center.

Yes, devenet offers two variations in their sandbox, the main difference being here the always on version of this sandbox is read only, if you are testing the API's, you will only be able to use GET functions.
