Hi, Sandbox Expert.
I logged into the the Sandbox CAT 9K box today for app hosting experiment. But app hosting needs the CAT 9k to
have a USB 3.0 SSD flash. The CAT 9K I connected into doesn't have this USB 3.0 SSD storage. I couldn't do any
app hosting experiment.
I kept running into the same problem I saw before.
Oct 19 16:44:22.760: %IM-6-INSTALL_MSG: Switch 1 R0/0: ioxman: app-hosting: Install failed: guestshell_setup.sh returned error: 255, message: Installing apps on system flash is not allowed.
Thanks
Steve Zhang

I cannot reserve a sandbox for a few days, i asked our ENG team confirm this detail as memory recalls when this was built it was asked which slot this should be inserted in. I believe it was the default usb --> usbflash0: or usbflash1:

When the Sandbox for application hosting was available to me, the USB3.0 SSD was missed from the CAT 9K. That made the CAT 9K useless for my work since I could not install any application anymore. The CAT 9K needs the SSD (usbflash1) for application hosting. That was kind of disappointing to me since I was expecting the setup was ready for application hosting. This is supposed to be a setup for application hosting. But it didn't work.
I hope that someone can fix this problem before another person encountered the same situation. Is anyone able to use the Sandbox setup successfully lately for application hosting? Did you have same problem as missing the SSD storage for application hosting.?

There is a limited outbound internet connection on the sandbox due to security posture. If you are following the https://developer.cisco.com/learning/modules/app-hosting-cat9k there should be no issues (please raise this if you find some). Building your own app might present a challenge to the security posture. I think there is plans to increase the apps on the project/cat9k above, but unsure on the roadmap for this, as it's not a project i am involved in sadly.
Hope this helps!

My problem is about the missing USB 3.0 SSD storage in the cat9k in the sandbox. Without the SSD, I can not do any app hosting. But this setup is supposed to do app-hosting. The missing SSD prevents me doing anything about app hosting.

@SteveZhang39274 asked the ENG team to check this and advise. As stated in the build, it was there.
