How to enable VRRP on WS-C3560X-24T-E

Hi All

I want to enable vrrp on the WS-C3560X-24T-E.

However, the router vrrp enable command is not entered.

The documentation says that VRRP is enabled.

Can anyone tell me if this is possible?

Configuring VRRP
VRRP is an election protocol that dynamically assigns responsibility for one or more virtual routers to the VRRP routers on a LAN, allowing several routers on a multi-access link to use the same virtual IP address. A VRRP router is configured to run VRRP in conjunction with one or more other routers attached to a LAN. In a VRRP configuration, one router is elected as the virtual router master, and the other routers act as backups in case it fails.

VRRP Limitations
You can configure both HSRP and VRRP on a switch or switch stack. However, you cannot add a switch model that supports only one protocol to a stack that is configured for both protocols.
The VRRP implementation on the switch does not support the MIB specified in RFC 2787.
The VRRP implementation on the switch supports only text -based authentication.
The switch supports VRRP only for IPv4.

Hi @김선명 

 This device is not a router but a switch.  And you need to have proper license to use redundancy protocols like HSRP and VRRP.

Furthermode, the VRRP is not mentioned as supported on this switch model as you can check on the datasheet

I would advise you to try to enable HSRP instead and if you can not enable HSRP either, take a look which license you have
