WLC 5508 - HTTPS access issue

Hi !

I'm having a strange issue with a 5508 WLC : the http/https access doesn't respond on the management interface but the ping is ok.

I can access the WLC on its service port in http/https.

SSH is ok on the service port and on the mangement interface.

Management interface and service port are not in the same subnet

Stranger thing is that when I enable the SSO to mount the HA with the second controler on site, the service port become also unavailable on http/https ! I have shutdown the second WLC for the moment, and disabled SSO on the active controler to get my http access back.

Unfortunately, I can't upgrade the WLC (8.0.152.0) because it's the last version that support some old ap's i have attached to it (1131 & 1242...)

I have tried many solutions found on the cisco forums and over internet, but nothing can get me the http access back.

Can you connected you pc to same vlan of mgmt interfaces (sure assing IP in same subnet) and try http to wlc.

Hi,

when connected to the same vlan (1), we get http access to the WLC.

When connected to another vlan (2), we don't get http access to the WLC. I checked in the firewall monitoring, the HTTPS request is accepted and forwarded. Is it possible that the WLC drop paquet coming form another vlan ?

Mgmt vlan have SVI and it up in SW ?

It issue of connectivity not wlc sso issue.

Hi there, you're using VLAN 1 as management VLAN ? if you have access vy cli to WLC try this:

config interface vlan management 0
