Hello everyone! Here are the release notes for our most recent updates to Duo.

Public release notes are published on the Customer Community every other Friday, the day after the D-release is completely rolled out. New features, enhancements, and other improvements

Navigation updates in Duo Admin Panel

Duo updated Community and Read Release Notes hyperlinks in the sidebar navigation to reflect the Duo Community’s migration to the Cisco Community.

Now in public preview: New Settings endpoint parameter for Duo Admin API

Admin API applications with “Grant settings” API permission can now use the Settings endpoint in the Admin API to view or change the enablement of the Global Self-Service Policy feature.

Duo now collecting and applying policies to Apple Rapid Security Response version information for macOS and iOS endpoints

As of Duo Device Health Application for macOS version 5.1.0.0 and Duo Mobile for iOS version 4.42.0, the Duo Admin Panel now reports Apple Rapid Security Response versions in the Authentication Log, Endpoints and Device Insight pages. The Admin API Endpoints os_version field also returns these versions.
Beginning August 7, 2023, the operating systems (OS) policies available in Duo Advantage and Duo Premier will recognize and enforce policies for Apple Rapid Security Response versions.

This will affect which versions satisfy the If less than the latest and If not up to date OS policy options.
Authentications from endpoints that do not use Device Health App or Duo Mobile will not see any change. Duo will not use Apple Rapid Security Response versions when applying OS policy to these endpoints.

New and updated applications

Three new named SAML applications with Duo SSO

There are now named SAML applications for GitLab SaaS, Amazon Connect and Cloudlock to protect using Duo SSO, our cloud identity provider.
Reminder: Duo Access Gateway will reach end of life in October 2023. Please see the Guide to Duo Access Gateway end of life for more details.

Authentication Proxy version 6.0.2 released

The value for allow_concat in the radius_server_eap section now correctly defaults to True.
The Authentication Proxy connectivity tool and Authentication Proxy Manager now raise an exception if the Authentication Proxy is given a password-protected certificate.
Fixed a resource leak related to failed TLS connections.

Duo Device Health Application for macOS version 5.3.0.0 released

Added improvements to support script.
Added collection of information related to whether the device is managed.

Duo Device Health Application for Windows 10 and 11 version 5.3.0 released

Added collection of information related to whether the device is managed.
Fixed an issue that would cause a device to be identified as a virtual machine when certain Windows security features were enabled.

duo_unix-2.0.2 released

Make check now successfully runs on Solaris.
Added package support for Debian 12, Fedora 37, and Fedora 38.
Fedora 34 and Debian 10 support is deprecated and will be removed in the next release.
Ubuntu 18.04 and Debian 9 are no longer supported.
