Effective September 16, 2024, Duo updated the version determinations for iOS device authentication and macOS operating systems policy enforced by Duo Desktop. This policy feature is available to customers on Duo Advantage and Duo Premier editions. 

IOS 

  • iOS 18 is the “Current” version 
  • iOS 17 is now “Supported” 
  • iOS 15 and iOS 16 are “end of life”

MacOS 

  • macOS 15 is the “Current” version 
  • macOS 14 is now “Supported” 
  • macOS 12 is “end of life” 

Note that this end-of-life status is not related to compatibility of Duo applications installed on iOS or macOS. It only impacts policy enforcement outcomes. If you need information about Apple OS versions supported by Duo applications, refer to these Duo Knowledge Base articles:
