It was my understanding this was coming soon (this was a year ago when I heard this). Has there been any progress on this? Is this still planned? Is it coming soon? Is VMWare still the only option currently?
I also noticed 10.x downloads for vESA are not available, only 8.x and 9.x.

As far as I can tell, yes, ESAv is still VMware only...
They haven't released a 10.0 OVM, you have to install 9.7 and upgrade for now...

EDIT: Correction. It's not currently supported on the vESA, but only for the vWSA. :)
Thanks!

I tried vESA on KVM and it won't even boot. Was told a KVM version will be coming out soon. Other platforms support KVM ( think it is web security that does) and ESA was going to.
Being able to use KVM over VMWare would be a big help.

Ah yes, you're absolutely correct. It looks to be only supported for the WSA currently.
That's what I get for skimming! My apologies. :)
Thanks!

Dennis,
Dig into that doc... On page 2, the only listed vm models/AsyncOS releases for KVM are WSAv. Nothing is listed for ESAs.

This is great news, thanks!
Will give it a test soon, can the config from ESXi virtual appliance be moved over without issues?
