Dear All,
We have recently deployed Cisco ESA 300v as our email Firewall, but it sends some emails to admins for the logs like
"application Fault Occurred"
I need to know if there is any knowledge base or any helping material from cisco to understand these logs so I may be able to handle the appliance in a better way.
Looking forward to best responses from best peoples.
Regards,
Zaheer Jahangir

Hi Zaheer,
Application faults can be raised for multiple reasons and some may be just cosmetic alerts linked to defects which can be ignored.
Apart from searching for defects on the bug search tool there is no knowledge base for the same.
If you receive multiple alerts you can open a TAC case to seek clarification on the same.
Thank You!

Hi Libin,
It will be of great help if you can provide me with the link to Cisco Knowledge Base as I am not able to locate it.
Looking Forward.

Cisco bug search tool is available here:
https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/
Note: Not all application faults may be listed and it is recommended you contact TAC if you receive multiple alerts.

I guess bug search is different from Knowledge Base.
To learn more about alerts, please visit our Knowledge Base. In many cases, you can find further information about this specific alert.
this is what is reflected in the email that brings me the alert :(

Based on the below article all Ironport knowledge base articles were moved to technotes a couple of years back.

Maintain, Operate, Upgrade and Troubleshooting tech notes are available at the below link
