Cisco Ironport C170 - disk full - system not available

Hi,

I`m not able to login to Cisco Ironport C170 (Vmware appliance) because disk is full.

Now it seems that I need to install complete system from scratch... or find out some other solution which will fit to high load enterprise environment.

In my opinion, this system has been design without understanding how UNIX system is working. Here we have typical problem - full disk (/data !!!). This is rather simple problem to solve with proper partitioning (saparate data from os) and I`m really curious why CISCO didn`t prepare proper file system for that device. We are paying a lot of money for a solution which will be stable and will help administrator to react in case of eventual problems.

Here we have a scenario, where disk is full and administrator is not able to react - no login, no analyse, system down... company down... costs.

This is vmware instance, I would like to kindly ask CISCO experts, how may I repair that system. Also I would like to know, what should I do if its will happend on the hardware appliance ?
