Cisco IronPort Email security

I have interested in Cisco IronPort as email security, my company have around 1K mail box but the number of mail account have about 200 only for external communication. Other just use for internal communication. For internal communication do I need to license or not? Thanks for your answers.

This query may be best sent to a Cisco Sales Rep/Reseller
However in my point of view, internal to internal communications should not be routed through the ESA.

Internal to external and external to internal should go through an ESA for filtering.
