I am confused on the proper way to upgrade our Cisco Secure Email Gateway
Current Version: AsyncOS 14.0.1 for Cisco 100V build 033
Upgrade Version: AsyncOS 14.0.2 build 020
Logging into the ESA GUI I see the prompt: Upgrade Available. To upgrade now, go to: System Administration > System Upgrade. Clicked on the option. The Upgrade System window shows:
"Current AsyncOS version: 14.0.1-033"
Current Upgrade Settings: Server: https://update-manifests.sco.cisco.com (Cisco IronPort Upgrade Server)
Interface: Management
HTTP Proxy Server: None
HTTPS Proxy Server: None
Upgrade Options: When clicked on this I am prompted "Are you sure you want to proceed with upgrade?"
Does this mean that the AsyncOS 14.0.2 file is already available and our appliance is going to connect to https://update-manifests.sco.cisco.com and download the file to the appropriate location and complete the install? I don't need to download this file to the appliance and install it manually? The on-line documentation that I have read was confusing on this.

Hello there,
You are correct: the new version is provisioned for your device , so you are able to download first and then install.
From the GUI/CLI, you have the option to: DOWNLOAD ONLY (Only downloads the Async OS Files so you upgrade when you have a chance) and DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL, which will download the Async OS files and start the upgrade.
Depending on your maintenance window time, you may download only or decide to upgrade directly using Download and install.
Hope this helps.
José.
