Hi all...
I'm using a C100 in front of our sendmail installation. As of today, only incoming mails are routed via the IP appliance. How do you guys configure sendmail to deliver local mails locally and forwad all mails for the Internet to the IronPort appliance? Is the SMARTHOST (http://www.elandsys.com/resources/sendmail/smarthost.html) the right path to follow?
Thanks for the info

Reto,
That looks right to me. I know Exchange uses the Smart host feature to forward outbound mail to Ironport.

Hi all
okay... sounds all pretty easy. I finally managed to change my sendmail config so that outgoing mails are forwarded to the IronPort appliance. What settings do I have to enable on the appliance so that mails from the sendmail box are accepted for outgoing delivery? So far the IronPort box rejects these mails.
I had the impression "Incoming Relays" should work, but it seems I'm missing something.
Thx for the help

Hi,
in your mailpolicies, in HAT overview, you should add your internal mailservers to the sendergroup (relaylist) for your private listener.
