Hi,
we are using Cisco CRES and I'm wondering what that Easy Open feature really does? I would like to see how that works before enabling it on production environment.
Could someone practically explain what it does and how it shows to the end users? I haven't found any example messages/screenshots. Currently users receive the CRES message with Securedoc attachment and they open message via that attachment. What are the benefits when enabling easy open compared basic setup?
Thank you for your answers!

How about a video to show the difference?
With CRES --- a typical encrypted message is not easily opened... especially for mobile users. You have to open the secure_doc.html attachment, and then sign in. Most mobile browser and cookies, etc., prevent the attachment from opening, forcing the enduser to resort back to their PC for viewing their CRES encrypted message...
With Easy Open configured, opening the encrypted message is simple. No more worrying about clicking on the attachment... and mobile browser friendly...
Let me know if this helps, further questions.

Thank you very much! That was more than I excepted, super! I assume that it works same way on PC?
How about the first message being sent via Ironport? Then the Ironport generates that mail with "Encrypted Message HTML Notification" and it has always "Securedoc" attachment if I'm right?

Correct. Mobile, PC --- both the same w/ Easy Open. No more worrying about the html attachment.
And correct - it has typically been 'securedoc'. That is set on the ESA in the Security Settings > Cisco IronPort Email Encryption > Email Encryption Profiles...

Thanks. So is there any way to get rid of that Securedoc attachment in that first message sent via Ironport?
