Yes its possible.
Once Automatic Remediation is set up, to do manual remediation, you do a Tracking search for emails, then in the results, check the box on the left for the messages you want to remediate then click on "Remediate" in the upper right.
It will ask for a batch name (We use our ticket number), and whether you want to delete, forward, or delete and forward the mail.
To track the remediation it will create a report, under Monitoring/Remediation Report
