Email Address starting with bounce@

Hi All,

Good Day,

Just wondering how the specific email has an initial name of bounce@domain.com?

It would be very glad if you show me how it's done :) Seems so confusing on my end.

Hi,

Depending on the server generating the email it can be configured accordingly.

For example for the ESA under System Administration -> Return Addresses.

You can type in bounce@domain.com for bounce messages and each bounce generated by the ESA would appear to be coming from that email address.

I've seen similar addresses used by servers generating marketing or subscription emails as well.

Hi Pat,

Email addresses starting with bounce would not necessarily be malicious.

It would come down to the actual email content in the end.
