Error authentification - Ironport Email Security Appliance c170

hi,

i cant log into our Ironport C170, since i've changed my password. 

Is there a way to recover it ?

You'll need to open a support case, and we can send you the temp admin password.

Instructions

Follow these steps in order to reset your admin password on your Cisco content security appliance.

  1. Contact Customer Support for a temporary admin password. You need to provide the serial number of the appliance.
  2. When you receive the temporary admin password, access the appliance via a serial connection:
    Bits per second: 9600
    Data bits: 8
    Parity: None
    Stop bits: 1
    Flow control: Hardware
  3. Log in as user adminpassword.
  4. Enter the temporary admin password that you received from the Customer Support Engineer and press Return.
  5. Enter the new password that will be used for the admin user.
    AsyncOS myesa.local (ttyv0)
    
    login: adminpassword
