ESA - Access List

Hello Cisco Community,

I am currently testing the ESA solution ( Cisco 100V ). My question is :

Is there a way to modify the mail header of a detected Spam mail – modify ACL to 9 ?

This would avoid to a sign like {SPAM} into the header

thanks for supporting,

Mehdi

Hello Mehdi,

While I am unsure on what you're looking for with an ESA ACL as none is available.

You can avoid having [SPAM] added to the subject but disabling the modify subject to prepend, else I would like to ask if you could share more details into your query.

Thanks.

Matthew

Thanks for the reply Matthew,

I need to know if I am able to change the Access Control List to 9 into the email header on the Email Security Appliance.

Then, it will be detect by the outlook exchange as spam and directly send to the "Junk E-mail".

So the implementation will be transparent for the end-user.

Any other proposals are welcome :-) .

You can set that spam messages are not delivered to inbox at all but are instead delivered to ironport spam quarantine.

Or you use for example [SPAM] tag in subject and create outlook rule to put such emails to SPAM folder directly.

I'm pretty sure you can create centralized rule with GPO also.

Hello Jernej,

thanks for the reply.

I am testing your process and I will let know if it could be implemented.

Mehdi
