We recently received an organizational requirement to put our ISE server in FIPS mode and while reading over the documentation it appears FIPS mode on ISE will disabe Radius PAP authentication. PAP and CHAP are currently atleast in our verison of the ESA the only methods of external authentication that are supported and both are disabled in ISE FIPS mode. Aside from setting up LDAP and turning over account administration for the ESA to our server team has anyone else found ways to deal with this situation. If we absolutely have to we will setup AD to authenticate out logins but its not desired. Thanks for any help
