Starting at 19:11 CST on June 25 we started getting these errors in our Ironport C170 update log and are not able to update any of our feature keys:
Tue Jun 25 19:11:34 2013 Warning: Network Participation: failed to connect to host: update-manifests.ironport.com port: 443, error: SSL error: Connection failed: <aplib.dns.SSLConnectError host="update-manifests.ironport.com" port="443" errors=[TimeoutError()]
Tue Jun 25 19:12:03 2013 Info: Failed to acquire the server manifest
Anyone else seeing this? My network group assures me they have done nothing.

what happens if you ping update-manifests.ironport.com
or
telnet update-manifests.ironport.com 443 ?

Hi Stephen,
Thanks for your followup. Turns out one of our providers upstream unplugged a cable to perform a "scream" test. We screamed. The issue has been resolved.
