i have hardware failure in C160 appliance but i backup the Configuration
I have C160 applaince configuration Backup and i need to load this Configration to C170 Applaince with Same name and ip and cofiguration
hwo can i make this ?
Hi Ahmed,
You have to connect to management interface first http://192.168.42.42:8080 and you can simply upload the xml config file to the new appliance:
System Administration > Configuration File > Load configuration from local computer.
Remember to change local IP of your PC as after reboot new IP settings will be applied based on the xml file.
Another thing is you need to make sure you have the same version of AsyncOS installed on both 160 and 170 otherwise import will fail.
Hope that helps
Regards
Mariusz
Dear Mariusz
i try this before but when try to upload the upload faild and know i konw why the upload faild cause the backup of configuration taken with mask passowrd
so you must be same version and you must not mark the mask password when backup configuration to success upload configuration
Depending on what error is showed during the upload, you can try to call ESA support to get some help with minor tweaking, but please keep in mind that Cisco does not support ESA in configuration file level.
