IEA PGPUS co-existance exchange of Keys

Has anyone had experience of communicating with external companies who use PGPUS using IEAs.

The issue is that PGPUS only publish keys using LDAP Searches and IronPort only byHKP.

How is this problem best resolved

Maybe some more background info is needed.
For me personally: I do not understand the terms PGPUS and HKP. Maybe it helps if you try to explain in a little more detail what you try to accomplish. I assume your question is about encryption. Please note that encryption is considered to be complex by many people.
