I'm going thru the initial install of the M670 for the first time and during the config it's only giving me
the option to connect it to our network using the management port even though I have a cable plugged
in to the Data 1 port that is active with a link light. I don't want to use the management port for the
main connection to our network, is there something I'm missing that will allow me to use the Data 1
port?
I've done this many times on C370's but for whatever reason this is different.
Thanks.

On the CLI - can you not run 'interfaceconfig' and manually enter in the needed interface setup... ?

m650.local> interfaceconfig

Choose the operation you want to perform:

- EDIT - Modify an interface.
- GROUPS - Define interface groups.
- DELETE - Remove an interface.

Once that is done - you should be able to 'interfaceconfig' and DELETE "Management".
Hope that helps!

I am attaching the screenshot from the SMA's Web UI. There is no trash icon to allow the management interface to be deleted.
I hope this helps, and if so, please make the questions as answered.

Correct, the management interface cannot be deleted plus I want to keep it around (as I do with the C370's)
for emergencies.

Correct. I was merely thinking through on the next steps, and did not take into account the removal of mangement is not allowed.
Were you able to get this to complete from the CLI and adding in the interface as directed?

No, the CLI interface wouldn't allow any configuration until the setup wizard had been run. I didnt' try
interfaceconfig but did try some other commands. I'm not in front of the box now so cant verify if interfaceconfig
will run or not prior to the setup wizard being run.
