IronPort C370 update error

Hello everyone.

It seems that I am having a problem getting updates from Cisco IronPort Update Server.

I've read some discussions saying that it maybe a firewall issue, I have doubled checked it but it is not. ports 25, 80 and 443 are allowed on my firewall.

I've attached a file performing an manual http request on the update server.

I also run a port scan on my security appliance.

It seems that the port 80 on my IronPort is closed. Is it the cause of the error why it cannot connect to the update server?

Please help me. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

If you run a port scan to the device IP address you will be testing if the appliance has the HTTP server enable but when you try to do an update you are actually connecting to another server, so the appliance is actually acting as a client, I will suggest you to capture the traffic and see if is living the C370 and getting to the FW.
