Hi
If I have a content filter acting on incoming mail which adds or edits a header, does this immediately affect the header, ie. can I immediately afterwards have an incoming filter which uses the header as a condition?

Hey John,
If you're using content filters where content filter #1 on the list adds/edits header
This takes action first
Then if you have a second content filter which looks for this added or edited header, then it'll take action if the header matches the condition of the filter.
However if your content filter #1 is taking action on a header that should be available but not yet added due to the ordering, you just need to reorder your filters.

Matthew

That shouldn't be a problem. We are doing that in our environment.

Thanks Tim. So, you're using your header as a filter in the same incoming policy? Can you elaborate on why you are doing this?
