I have a mail domain that we are shutting down. killing the smtp route (/dev/null) looks to be a pretty straight forward. I have a few legacy accounts thought that I will need to re-route to a new domain. I currently accomplish this via content filter rules, but I wonder if I change the smtp route to dev/null, will that hinder the those rules from firing first? (I think it would not, but I want to ask the question before I'm in my process and troubleshooting where my expected email went.)

Hi Phil, if you change SMTP route for domain.xyz and enable incoming content filter that'd trigger only for some specific email addresses you'd define with the action "change recipient" that would do it: specific emails will be delivered to recipient you define while others would be discharged.
Don't delete domain entry in RAT table.
