Is Smart Licensing mandatory when upgrading from 14.x to 15.x or later

Hello,

We have at this time an ESA cluster running 14.2 and an SMA with 14.2. Those VM are using the legacy license with VLN xml file.

If we need to upgrade to 15.5.x or later, is it mandatory to upgrade the license to Smart License? Or is it still compatible with "legacy licensing"

Yes. 15.5.1 ot later requires Smart Licensing.

In 14.2 they made it easier to convert using Device Led cobversion
