Hello,

we are using a ESA cluster with a SMA in between and we configured LDAP authentication for the spam quarantine. We are now having trouble with special characters like ü ö ä in passwords, it basically does not work if any of those are included.

Is there any know restriction to this?

thanks

cheers

Daniel

Based on the little help button available next to passphrase when you view the System Administration -> Users -> Edit Settings page.

A passphrase must contain the following:

  • at least 8 characters.
  • at least one upper (A-Z) and lower (a-z) case letter.
  • at least one number (0-9).
  • at least one special character.
    The following characters are allowed: ~ ? ! @ # $ % ^ & * - _ + = \ | / [ ] ( ) < > { } ` ' " ; : , .

I do not expect any other special characters to work currently.
